Fresh, hot waffles, crispy on the outside and chewy in the middle, are so easy to make in a home waffle machine.
The problem is the batter. Most waffle recipes require complex preparation (whipping egg whites) or uncommon ingredients (buttermilk), things you just don’t want to fool with before breakfast.
This delicious recipe can be thrown together in minutes. It requires two bowls and no mixer and uses stuff you should already have in your kitchen.
Ingredients
1-3/4 C flour
1 T baking powder
1/2 t salt
2 eggs
1/3 C oil
2 C milk
Method
- Mix together dry ingredients in one bowl.
- Mix together wet ingredients in another bowl.
- Pour the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients and mix by hand until blended.
- Pour into waffle maker using manufacturer’s instructions. (Mine takes 1/2C of batter per waffle.)
Serve with butter and maple syrup or fresh fruit and whipped cream (or both!).
Hmm Delicious! :-). Thank you for the share
