This elegant little condiment is absolutely required for popovers, but is equally delicious on warm cornbread or other pastries. There are no ingredient amounts specified because you make as much as you want.


Orange Marmalade or Strawberry Jam


  1. Warm the butter to room temperature.
  2. Mix in the jam a little at a time until it is well blended and has the sweetness you desire (typically 2 parts butter to 1 part jam).
  3. Chill and serve.
